What is required for the “Range
Proficiency” portion of the course.
After completing this online course, you
will need to complete a Range Proficiency
session with a certified instructor.
Florida LTC Shooting Proficiency
Demonstration Requirements:
A person who conducts a course pursuant
to subparagraph 2., subparagraph 3., or
subparagraph 7., or who, as an instructor,
attests to the completion of such courses,
must maintain records certifying that he or
she observed the student safely handle and
discharge the firearm in his or her physical
presence and that the discharge of the
firearm included live fire using a firearm and
ammunition as defined in s. 790.001;

Is this course all that is required to
obtain my Florida CWL?
No, Florida requires both classroom and
range training sessions to obtain a Florida
CWL. This course satisfies the classroom
training requirement, but you will still need
to complete a 1-2 hour “Range Proficiency”
portion of the course. Instructions for how to
complete the range proficiency requirement
are included in this course
How do I complete my mandatory range
instruction training after completing the
online course?
At the conclusion of this course, you will be
provided with a list of instructors who can
help you complete your mandatory shooting
demonstration exercise. Our certified
instructors will lead you through a live-shooting
qualification exercise, train you on fundamental
firearm use and educate you on self-defense
and firearm laws. Make sure to bring your
online training certificate of completion to your
in-person shooting demonstration.
